Hello and welcome to another blog post!
It's been a while since I last spoke to you and in that time the whole team has been very, very busy getting ourselves organised. Rules have been written, rewritten and finalised; procedures have been debated and agreed on while our comms team have been working on our plans to engage schools.
The most noticeable changes are that our website is finally fully functional and, more importantly, we are open to accepting entrants into the Boscombe Down Balloon Challenge! If you head over to our new and improved competitions page you'll be able to find the first iteration of the contest rules, a helpful glossary and a series of links to useful information and websites. Most importantly, you can download an entry form!
This is where we want your help; do you help out at a STEM club in a local school? Do you know someone who does? Are you friends with a teacher or are you currently at school yourself and want to give it a go? Then spread the word! We've got a spiffy flyer that we've been distributing around Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset and other which you can download here.
If you are interested in participating, feel free to nab a copy of the rules and entry form from here or drop us an email at email@example.com letting us know what school you are from and that you are interested. We can then add you to our mailing list and send you a starter and entry pack!
Now the closing date for entry, in the interests of giving everyone an equal opportunity and to help us be organised for visits, will be 24th March 2016 so be sure to enter before then!
In the meantime, if you have any questions or want to know more before entering then please contact us at the above email address or using the contact form on this website.
We look forward to hearing from you!
